Hey, I need some help on this.

I was in LA trying to sell item by spaming (hardly works but w/e) and I saw this guy selling an account with nothing in it with a C/O of 100k. So I went and whispered him about it because I thought it was a great deal. Here is how it went down.

Ignore the first two lines, they have nothing to do with this.
My questions on this are???
1) Should I even bother with this even although I can make more than 100k a day?
2) If I get scammed, could this pick and other help get back what belongs to me?
3) Is this against any GW rules?

I'm fairly certain it's against the Terms of Use. Even if it's not policied, I don't think you can report this kind of scam to ANet with any success.

Personally, I'd just buy another one with RL money.

This is not really a form of commerce though. Couldn’t the gold and account both be considered GW property also? This would just be like an in-game trade.

That’s just it; there is a BIG risk in this. Think I should ask him if I can pay **%now and **%after?

you can still get scammed even if the transaction appears to go through ok.they could just report the account stolen, you lose it and cash, they get the account back and get richer.i also know from personal experiance that the forum mods do not like this subject poping up here and it still breaks the eula,if i'm not mistaken, because it still takes money from a.nets pocket because you have no need to go and buy your own account then.

lateralus this is a big no no, if you do this it is a good chance that both your accounts will be banned.

Save your gold and if you need a second account use real cash and bye a clean account.

Don't do it, you'd be digging yourself in a hole of guilt and deception if you'd do this. It's not worth it he's probably scamming or something don't get involved with these idiots. They can go on eBay for that.

I don't think the guy is scamming, but it's not worth the risk. Vana's right. You could end up getting both accounts banned because it is a clear violation of the EULA.

And to make a note...

Even if you do get the account email and password....change the password...play for a little...

He still has the cd-key and the email password....so he can request a password change stating that he forgot his password. And b/c he has the origonal cd-key and email password Anet will beleive the account is truely his....sending a replacement password...... then you are scammed.

I was gonna do the same thing you were....but not worth it.

Go-Gamer . com had/still has a deal GW for $30.00 with like $2 shipping.

Good Luck

You are correct they could contact A-Net with the cd key and which that point they would probably have to show proof of ownership of the cd key. However the e-mail address and password does not matter in this case because you would most likely (if you were smart enough) change the e-mail and password for the account, which it is possible to change both. The only way the original owner could get it back would to claim to A-Net that the account was stolen by a keylogger or something along those lines.
